Tom Rowland earns England U18 call-up

Tom Rowland has been included to the England U18s squad ahead of the tour to South Africa this month.

The Academy prop – who signed professional terms in the summer –is called up as injury cover.

James Dun and Iwan Hughes had been named in John Fletcher’s 26-man squad, but have been forced to withdraw through injury, while PDG hooker Will Capon (Bristol Grammar School) will travel.

The three-game tour runs from August 6-21 and sees England take on the hosts South Africa, Wales and France over the course of 15 days.

“Tom impressed for England U18 last season and it’s another chance for him to gain vital experience against some of the best players in the world in his age category.”

August 15 – England U18 v Wales U18 (Paarl Gymnasium)

August 19 - England U18 v South Africa U18 (City Park, Cape Town)
