Team news: Ealing Trailfinders vs Bristol Rugby

Bristol Rugby travel to Vallis Way on Saturday as the top two sides in the Greene King IPA Championship go head to head in front of the Sky Sports HD cameras.

  • Nine internationals included in starting line-up
  • Bristol go in search of fifteenth successive league win
  • Six aged 24 or under in starting line-up
  • Four changes to side that beat Bedford Blues

Unbeaten Bristol - who are nine points clear of Ealing Trailfinders – make four changes from the side that overcame Bedford Blues, as Siale Piutau comes into the midfield and Alapati Leiua switches to the wing.

In the pack, Ryan Bevington is named at loosehead, while Gaston Cortes recovers from a calf injury to start. Nick Haining comes into the back row alongside Steven Luatua and Dan Thomas.

Lam said: “We realise it’s a big game, but it’s no bigger than the other games we’ve played this season.

“We had a tough fixture against Bedford, a tough one against Richmond – they are always tough because everyone wants to knock us over.

“We expect Ealing to come at us fully-loaded - they’re at home, but our preparation has been very focused this week.”

Jack Lam is back among the replacements having recovered from illness, as Bristol retain a four forwards and three backs split on the bench.
