REPORT: Worcester Ladies 15-0 Bristol Ladies

Bristol Ladies’ season ended in heartbreak as defeat to Worcester Ladies dashed hopes of an RFU Women’s Premiership play-off spot.

Worcester claimed fourth place with a 15-0 victory in a tense affair on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts scored the only points of the first period with a well-worked try, before adding two more unconverted tries after the interval.

Bristol pushed for a route back into the game late on, but couldn’t find a way through a stubborn home defence.

Head Coach LJ Adams told bristolrugby.co.uk: “The club has grown and developed through the season. We’ve had to adapt to injuries and international call ups and we’ve shown the strength and depth of the squad in our performances.

“There wasn’t a dry eye in the Bristol dressing room as the team gathered for the post-match huddle. The club will learn and grow from the experience and come back stronger next year. Congratulations to Worcester and thank you to all of our supporters who travelled down to support the girls.”
