Report: DMP Sharks 3-26 Bristol Ladies

Bristol Ladies ended a run of four successive league defeats in the Tyrrells Premier 15s with a comprehensive victory over DMP Sharks at the Northern Echo Arena.

The 26-3 win – Kim Oliver’s first as new head coach – sees Bristol move into sixth place in the competition.

Bolstered by the return of their international contingent, the visitors raced into a 19-3 lead at the interval.

Centre Lagi Tuima, who made her England debut last week at Twickenham, crossed for two Bristol tries while Izzy Noel-Smith also went over.

Wing Sydney Gregson completed the rout for Bristol, with centre Amber Reed – fresh from England duty – adding three conversions.

“The display should give the girls confidence going into a tough game against Richmond next week,” said Oliver.

“It was a much needed win for us after a difficult run, I thought the forwards really showed their dominance and the defence was fantastic today – both individually and as a team.”
