Giltrow joins Clifton on loan for remainder of season

Alex Giltrow has joined Clifton Rugby on loan with immediate effect.

The tighthead prop – who arrived from the National League Two side during the summer – re-signs for his former club.

Giltrow was handed a unique opportunity by Head Coach Pat Lam when he was selected from a local club to trial during pre-season.

The Bristolian has made six first team appearances so far during the campaign and will gain valuable gametime at Clifton Rugby.

Lam said: “It's an opportunity for Alex [Giltrow] to get some game-time and to help one of our combination clubs. He's still very much part of our squad and it'll be good for him to play regularly. Alex has a tremendous attitude and has made some big physical gains this season.

"People will notice a big difference in the Alex Giltrow that goes back to Clifton from last season. Our whole programme is about guys becoming better players and better people."
