Tom joined Bristol Rugby for 2007-8 from Plymouth Albion.
An England U19 international comfortable at wing or full back, he is the brother of Luke who was already at Bristol Rugby.
Tom made an immediate impression during the preseason friendly fixtures and featured frequently at first team level throughout 2007-8 scoring 9 tries in 19 starts and catching the eye of the England Saxons selectors until injury forced a late withdrawal.
