BRCF working with primary schools

Over the past seven years, Bristol Rugby Community Foundation has worked with over 200 primary schools in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, delivering a range of sporting programmes.

Qualified coaches work with the schools to deliver bespoke projects from Tag Rugby sessions for children at lunch and after school clubs, all the way to development programmes for the teachers - increasing their knowledge and understanding of primary school PE.

The Community Foundation, headed by Ben Breeze, works with a select group of partner organisations including Future Stars Coaching.

Through these partnerships, Bristol Rugby Community Foundation has recorded fantastic feedback from every school it has worked with across the greater Bristol area, with 100% of the schools commenting that they would work with the Foundation and its partners again.

“I’m so pleased with the Legacy Project - it’s well structured and well planned," said Mark Toogood, Head Teacher at Crossways Primary School. "The teachers are enjoying working with the coaches and everyone has taken something from each session. It’s really positive to see the sessions are being changed to suit each group, and the behaviour management is excellent.”

There has been an overwhelming demand for places on the Bristol Rugby Community Foundation programmes, but if you’d like to register your interest for your school or your child’s school then please email Danlawton@me.com.
