Bristol U18s 29-12 London Irish U18s

Bristol Rugby U18s completed their Southern Section RFU fixtures with a comprehensive 29-12 win over a strong London Irish U18s outfit at Filton’s WISE campus.

Julian Mogg’s score late in the first period was cancelled out by an immediate riposte from the visitors, as the sides went in level at 5-5 at the break.

But Sam Boyland and Ashley Challenger crossed for Bristol in quick succession, before Boyland and Brad Kislingbury saw yellow for technical offences, reducing the hosts to thirteen men.

London Irish fought back to 15-12, but a late flurry of tries from Bristol – as Alex Kilbane and James Floyd went over – sealed an impressive victory.

Attack and backs coach Keith Leaker told bristolrugby.co.uk: "It was great to get two really positive performances from our final two games. Our win today was the result of lots of hard work from the whole squad who have really bought into our positive approach to the game.

“As the season has progressed we have developed an attacking mentality that causes the opposition lots of problems with its variation, this, added to a real team spirit, has made for a very enjoyable campaign.”
