Utility back pulls out of squad due to hip injury

Jack Tovey has been forced to withdraw from the RFU Championship XV squad ahead of Saturday's unique clash with New Zealand Maori (12.05pm KO).

The Academy product - who made his long-awaited comeback in October - sustained a hip pointer injury against Jersey and will miss the fixture at Castle Park.

Fly-half Tristan Roberts becomes the sole representative from Bristol Rugby in Mike Rayer's side.

Tovey will remain with the Club for rehabilitation and medical staff hope the utility back will be available for the RFU Championship clash with Plymouth on Saturday, 24 November.

Bristol Rugby Club would like to wish the coaches and players of the RFU Championship XV the best of luck ahead of Saturday's game.
