Bristol set for semi-final clash

Tristan Roberts makes his first start since December as Bristol Rugby prepare for the B&I Cup semi-final clash versus Leeds Carnegie on Sunday (3pm KO).

The hosts ring the changes ahead of the Memorial Stadium, as only James Hall and Glen Townson survive from the side that took the field in the 55-31 victory over London Scottish last weekend.

Adam D’Arcy comes in for his first appearance since February, while Bryan Rennie and Luke Eves form a new-look midfield partnership.

Charlie Amesbury – who scored twice in the quarter-final win over Rotherham Titans – returns to the starting line-up.

Redford Pennycook returns to the back row, while Joe Joyce starts his fourth successive B&I Cup fixture.

Mark Cooke and Lucas Slowik – both of whom have signed Academy contracts for next season – are named among the replacements.
