Break The Cycle 2017 is fast approaching and there’s still plenty of time to get involved.
This year, the Foundation has once again teamed up with Bath Rugby Foundation to launch a new and improved event, starting, as always, at Ashton Gate Stadium.
Break The Cycle 2017 will take place on Sunday, June 18th and this year is offering cyclists the choice of three routes of varying distance – 100 miles, 65 miles or 35 miles.
The choice opens up the event to cyclists of all abilities and experience and, for the first time ever, cyclists can also nominate the individual charity they wish to fundraise for; choosing between Bristol City Community Trust, Bristol Rugby Community Foundation, Bristol Flyer Community, Bristol Sport Foundation or Bath Rugby Foundation.
“With summer fast approaching, we are all very excited about Break The Cycle 2017 and there is so much work going on behind the scenes to make sure this year’s event is the biggest and best ever,” said chief community officer, Ben Breeze.
“Last year we raised just under £30,000 - but with Bath Rugby joining us once again this year, a choice of three routes of varying distance and the growing popularity of Break The Cycle, we are confident we can top that in 2017.
“We are also hoping to announce some exciting news about the 30-mile route and its involvement in Bristol’s reign as European City of Sport for 2017 in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.”
