Robinson: We'll Take The Positives
Director of Rugby admits there is work to do
Andy Robinson admits Bristol Rugby have plenty to work on after watching his side fall to a 26-30 defeat to Leinster ‘A’ on Sunday.
The defeat ends Bristol’s hopes in the B&I Cup this season, but the Director of Rugby believes there is plenty to be positive about.
“It was a good game of rugby, but, of course, we were disappointed with the scoreboard at the end,” said Robinson.
“We can’t defend like we did in the first ten minutes, especially when we come up against opposition as good as Leinster. They’re a strong team with dangerous players.
“However, I was pleased with a lot of what we did. The defensive effort improved after the first fifteen minutes – we need to be able to play at that level for the full eighty minutes.
“We had a couple of good chances, but we have to be able to take them. We lacked a bit of accuracy but we can learn from this.
“There were a some young guys playing today and I was pleased with the effort. We’re disappointed because we want to win every game, but I’m pleased with elements that we can build on.”
