Bedford Blues in eighth position

Bedford will look to bounce back from a 50-6 defeat at the hands of Leeds Carnegie when the Blues welcome Bristol to Goldington Road on Saturday (3pm KO).

Mike Rayer's side slipped to eighth in the table, ending a run of four Greene King IPA Championship victories in the last five outings.

Nottingham were put to the sword in a narrow 14-9 win at Goldington Road, while Bedford also overcame play-off hopefuls London Scottish 21-13 in January.

Bedford have suffered defeats in their last two games on the road, going down 35-6 to Rotherham Titans, before the heavy defeat at Headingley last weekend.

Canadian international James Pritchard leads the scoring charts for Bedford this season with 105 points to his name so far.

Following Saturday's game, Bedford Blues travel to Ealing Trailfinders (14 Feb) and Moseley (1 Mar), before hosting Plymouth Albion (8 Mar).
