Two of Bristol Rugby’s brightest prospects have committed their futures to the Club after agreeing contract extensions.
Marco Mama and Mitch Eadie – both products of the Bristol Rugby Academy system – will remain with the Club until at least 2016.
Since a debut in 2009, versatile back-rower Mama has made 85 first team appearances for Bristol, touching down on fourteen occasions.
Scotland U20 back-rower Eadie has made 65 first team outings for the Club, scoring fifteen tries and scooping the 2012/13 Player’s Player of the Year award.
“Mitch and Marco’s desire to stay with us is really significant for Bristol Rugby and the Club’s vision going forward,” Director of Rugby Andy Robinson told bristolrugby.co.uk.
“We want to build our team around a core of home-grown players and both Mitch and Marco have shown they have the attitude and willingness to be consistent Premiership performers.
“Young talent who come through the Academy have to be a focal point for Bristol – it’s fantastic to see guys who have grown up in the city representing their club and becoming integral members of the first team squad.
“Now, the impetus is on Mitch and Marco to continue to work hard and keep improving, because we believe they have the potential to be leaders at Bristol Rugby.”
