Bristol are unbeaten since the opening day of the campaign and Hobson is determined to extend the winning run at the Memorial Stadium.

“We’re in a good place right now, but we won’t rest on our laurels,” the prop told bristolrugby.co.uk.

“We’ve shown a progression in our game and performances and – after the break for the B&I Cup – everybody is itching to get back into league action this weekend.

“The back-to-back wins in the Cup goes to show the depth of quality that we have in this squad now. Every player can come in and do a job, it adds to the competition and hunger about the place.

“It’s a long season and the boys know that it will be a squad effort. Everybody is pulling in the right direction and giving everything on the training ground, because nobody’s place in the team is guaranteed.

“We’re confident and relishing the challenge that Nottingham will bring. They’ll come at us from the start and we need to be prepared for that.

“Playing in front of the home supporters gives us that added advantage, because they can create a fierce atmosphere.

“They’re enjoying the positive style of rugby that we’re trying to play and we’ll do our utmost to send them home happy on Sunday.”
