Hobson Has Appeal Dismissed
Prop unavailable until April 9
Jason Hobson will be unavailable until April 9 after the prop's appeal against a twelve-week ban was dismissed on Tuesday evening.
Hobson appeared before an RFU Disciplinary Panel this evening to appeal against the guilty verdict handed to him for biting, an act Contrary to Law 10.4.M, during Bristol Rugby v Plymouth Albion on November 24 2012.
The appeal was dismissed and the original twelve-week sanction upheld. Hobson is free to play again on April 9, which takes into account the two-weeks already served and the fact that he has played since an appeal was lodged with the RFU.
The Panel comprised Philip Evans (chair), Dr Julian Morris and William Harbage QC.
Bristol Rugby are extremely disappointed at the outcome and will be making no further comment at this time.
