"We tackled superbly to keep Munster out and fought as a group right to the last whistle"

The hosts plundered four tries in a dominant display and the Academy Manager praised the energy and desire shown by the players.

“We said before the game that as long as we can look at ourselves at the final whistle and say we’ve done this Club proud and all the players that have pulled on the Bristol jersey before tonight, we can be happy,” Hall told bristolrugby.co.uk.

“I don’t think Matt [Sherratt] and I, in the short space of time that we have been together as a group, could have hoped for a result like that – we’re absolutely delighted.

“What pleased me just as much as the result is the way the guys refused to give up at the end. We tackled superbly to keep Munster out and fought as a group right to the last whistle.

“Every player has come from a different rugby environment, so to step up and represent the Club in the manner that they did tells us a lot about them as individuals.

“To a man, they played superbly and acquitted themselves well. They showed great team spirit for a bunch of players that haven’t been together long.

“There’s a huge amount of potential in this group and they did a great job in front of the home support this evening.”
