Grindal: There Is Plenty To Work On
Scrum half says Bristol will analyse defeat
James Grindal admitted there is plenty to work on following Bristol’s 65-9 pre-season defeat to Bath on Saturday.

Andy Robinson’s men conceded eleven tries at the Recreation Ground, but the Club Captain insists the players are not too downtrodden.
“It’s a disappointing result. We’ll look at it in detail, analyse it and see the areas that we need to work on,” Grindal told bristolrugby.co.uk.
“We have people at this Club who want to succeed and do well together. Playing teams like Bath week in week out is where we want to be, but obviously we’re a long way off that.
“We’re critical of ourselves because, regardless of the game, we want to win. The result wasn’t good, but we will pull apart the elements and move on.
“It was essentially two separate matches with so many players getting game time and partnerships and combinations working together for the first time.”
Bristol Rugby play Exeter at Sandy Park on Saturday, 24 August in the second of three pre-season games.
Grindal added: “We have another tough friendly next week, but that’s what we wanted – to be challenged ahead of the campaign.
“We played with a lot of endeavor on Saturday but unfortunately we turned over a lot of possession and the second half it just got away from us.
“Bath are a quality side and got some real momentum after the break. It started to fall apart but we will look at that closely.”
