Members of Bristol Ladies enjoyed success on the international stage last weekend, as England Women secured a thrilling 20-16 Six Nations victory over Wales at Aberavon.
Sally Tuson clinched a late try to bag the win, as Gary Street’s side finished third in the table.
Amber Reed was on target with the boot, while Sophie Hemming and Kim Oliver were named as replacements.
Meanwhile, in Dijon, England Women U20s had to settle for a second defeat of the season, going down 15-3 to France.
Four Bristol players – Mary-Ann Gittings, Holly Molesworth, Charlie Notman and Siobhan Longdon-Hughes – turned out for Amanda Bennett’s side.
Ireland Women – featuring Bristol’s Claire Molloy - completed their Six Nations Grand Slam, edging out Italy 6-3 in a tense final match in Milan.
Bristol Ladies return to action this weekend as the first XV travel to Richmond, while the Second XV face Supermarines at the Portway Development Centre on Sunday (2.45pm KO).
