Academy duo selected for England U18 tour of South Africa

Two members of the Bristol Rugby Academy have been selected for England U18’s tour of South Africa in August.

Senior academy second row, James Dun has been named in John Fletcher’s 26-man squad, alongside PDG hooker, Will Capon (Bristol Grammar School).

Senior academy full back Iwan Hughes was also selected for the tour but misses out due to injury.

The three-game tour runs from August 6-21 and sees England take on the hosts South Africa, Wales and France over the course of 15 days.

“We’re delighted that James (Dun) and Will (Capon) have been selected to represent their country on an overseas tour. This is a fantastic opportunity for them to experience rugby in the southern hemisphere and will be a hugely beneficial to their development."

“We’re disappointed for Iwan, who unfortunately misses the tour through injury. He’s obviously gutted to miss out but can be proud of his contribution to England U18 last season.”

August 11 - England U18 v South Africa U18 (City Park, Cape Town)

August 15 – England U18 v Wales U18 (Paarl Gymnasium)

August 19 – England U18 v France U18 (Paul Roos, Stellenbosch)
