Foundation shortlisted for awards
Two of the Bristol Rugby Community Foundation's programmes have been shortlisted for the prestigious All Party Parliamentary Rugby Union Group Premiership Rugby Community Awards.
"It's a massive achievement for the Foundation and the hard work that we are doing"
The Bright Sparks programme and Eagle project have been shortlisted for the awards which recognise exceptional work within the community.
The Bright Sparks programme is shortlisted for the BreakThru award, while the Eagle Project is shortlisted for the Play award.
The BreakThru Award - supported by TNT Express - is an honour granted to clubs who use rugby to develop change in local communities through health, educational and social outcomes.
The Play Award - supported by the All Party Parliamentary Rugby Union Group - celebrates commitment to developing the game of rugby at a grassroots level for men, women and children.
In the last six years, the Bristol Rugby Community Foundation have scooped seven awards.
"We're delighted to be shortlisted, once again, it's a massive achievement for the Foundation and the hard work that we are doing," Chief Executive Ben Breeze told bristolrugby.co.uk.
"I'd like to thank all the staff involved in the two projects for their ongoing commitment to helping young people make positive choices in their life."
