Gloucestershire RFU Launch: Your Game Your Say
Take part in online survey
To complement the eagerly anticipated RFU Adult Competition Review released last week, which predominantly could affect the 1st XV Leagues and Clubs playing at the National League Level, Gloucestershire RFU has proactively launched ‘Your Game - Your Say’.
This is an easy online survey and quick to complete and can be found on the GRFU website.
It asks all Stakeholders for their input for the GRFU Reserve League Rugby and Cup Competitions, to find out what they want from GRFU in these key areas of the game and to prevent the cancellation of games in adult rugby.
Lyndon Smith, Chairman of the Reserve League committee said: “Many clubs have been happy with the provision for 2nd and other lower XV rugby in the County through the Reserve Leagues, but there has been concern about high levels of cancelled fixtures and also the structure of the Premier League.
This prompted us to organise a review and, through discussion, it was felt that we needed to get the views of individuals involved in the game and not simply “club” viewpoints.
We decided to look for statistical evidence that could inform and shape the provision of rugby in Gloucestershire for the foreseeable future. To this end it is essential that players, coaches, referees and club administrators complete the survey in order to provide us with the best evidence base possible.
We need to provide competition which encourages maximum player and supporter participation and which will enable clubs to be viable and to grow.”
Gloucestershire RFU is offering excellent incentives to have as many people complete the survey as possible, such as several pairs of vouchers for free entry to Bristol matches.
The clubs that have the greatest participation in the survey, will be provided with a fantastic opportunity of a pre-season coaching session from coaches of Bristol and Gloucester respectively.
GRFU thank both Bristol Rugby and Gloucester Rugby for their support in this important work.
The survey is open until midnight Sunday 6th April.
If Players, Referees, Coaches and Club Administrators do not take this opportunity to have ‘Your Say’ they will miss out on inputting into the most dynamic review of Gloucestershire Rugby in decades.
