Sambucetti: Let's Keep Momentum Going

Bristol - who have won four successive games in all competitions – head to the Talbot Athletic Ground for the second round of the B&I Cup.

“We’re pleased with the result against Leeds, but we know that there are areas that we need to work on,” the lock explained to bristolrugby.co.uk.

“Despite having a lot of territory, we couldn’t quite turn our possession into points, but we showed a lot of heart to get the victory.

“There’s an incredible spirit in this squad and that’s displayed by the manner we are trying the play and the positive attitude we are showing.

“Aberavon will be another gritty test, as Anglo-Welsh encounters always are. We’ll need to front up and be ready to match that physicality and desire if we want to come away with a win.

“The cup is an opportunity for a lot of guys to show what they can do. To be successful this season, we need a competitive squad of players who can all perform when called upon.

“It’s important that we continue momentum on Saturday and get another win under our belts.”
