Bristol travel to St Peter

Bristol travel to Jersey on Saturday looking to build on a first win of the Greene King IPA Championship campaign.

Andy Robinson’s men secured a narrow 29-23 victory at St Peter last season, as Adrian Jarvis’ late try against the Channel Islanders ensured victory.

Jersey fell to a 41-27 defeat at the hands of Plymouth Albion on the opening day of the season at Sandy Park. But Ben Harvey's men hit back in style, seeing off Bedford 26-14 at St Peter last weekend.

First-half scores from Ed Dawson and Fred Silcock gave Jersey the foundation for the hard-fought win.

During the off-season, Jersey made a number of additions to the squad, including Cornish Pirates trio Aaron Penberthy, Drewe Locke and Ben Maidment.

Following Saturday’s fixture, Jersey face Nottingham (6 Oct), before back-to-back B&I Cup clashes with Ayr (12 Oct) and Ulster (18 Oct).
