With Jack Tovey, Errie Claassens and Jack Wallace sidelined for the beginning of the Greene King IPA Championship season, Director of Rugby Andy Robinson has moved quickly to capture the Australian’s signing.

The 28 year-old spent three seasons at Ravenhill, making fifty-four appearances and scoring six times.

“We’re pleased that Adam has agreed to join Bristol Rugby – he’ll add quality and strength in depth to an area that we are currently short on numbers,” Robinson told bristolrugby.co.uk.

“Not only does he comes with Heineken Cup experience, he’s very hungry to play rugby and has the right attitude for this club – Adam ticks all the boxes for us.”

Originally from the Manly area of Sydney, D’Arcy joined Ulster in 2010, making his competitive debut for the province versus Ospreys.

“I’m looking forward to testing myself in the Championship – it’s a fresh challenge for me,” added D’Arcy.

“Bristol are a fantastic Club and, when I heard that Andy [Robinson] was interested in me, I was keen to talk to him about the direction that they are going.

“It’s a big season for Bristol and there is a sense of excitement about the place. Hopefully, I can contribute towards a successful season.”
