Countdown To Break The Cycle Begins
First team squad set for 101 mile cycle ride
Bristol Rugby’s first team squad will begin their pre-season preparations on wheels – by taking part in a 101 mile cycle race.
Andy Robinson’s men will join 150 cyclists from across the city in the Bristol Rugby Community Foundation’s annual ‘Break The Cycle’ event.
On Saturday, 1 June, the players will ride from the Memorial Stadium, to Bath’s Recreation Ground, onto Gloucester’s Kingsholm and back to the Mem to raise funds for the Foundation.
“We’re delighted that the players will be joining us for the Break The Cycle event,” said Foundation CEO Ben Breeze. “This is our third year of Break The Cycle and our biggest event yet.
"In tough financial times, events like these are crucial to ensure that the Foundation can continue it's award-winning work with young people in Bristol and the surrounding areas.
“I’d encourage as many supporters to come down and cheer the teams off bright and early on Saturday, June 1, as we set off from the Mem at 7.30am.”
