Sign Up For Sue Ryder Sevens
Bristol Rugby backing sevens tournament
The Sue Ryder charity will launch a new rugby sevens tournament in the city this summer, in conjunction with Bristol Rugby.
Sue Ryder Sevens will take place at Cleve RFC on Saturday, 27 July. Already signed up to the event are teams from Old Bristolians RFC, the RAF Spitfires, the Godfathers invitational sevens side, Richardson Healthcare and Business West, with places still available.
Bristol Rugby will be in attendance on the day with first team players coaching the teams and helping to run the tournament.
Director of Rugby Andy Robinson said: “The Sue Ryder Sevens is an exciting new tournament for a very worthy cause.
“Bristol Rugby want to support local community causes and events such as these, and we are very pleased to be involved. We’re looking forward to supporting this event and working alongside Sue Ryder.”
Chris Andrews, event organiser and Fundraiser for Sue Ryder, said, “The Sue Ryder Sevens is shaping up to be a great event with some exciting rugby on display.
“It’s a chance for local sides to compete against each other in a different format of the game we all love. We are very grateful to Bristol Rugby for their support and we hope other local clubs will get involved too.”
