First and Second XV in action at Portway

Bristol Ladies’ first and second teams are in action this weekend, as both sides continue their push for silverware.

The first XV play Wasps at the Portway Development Centre, looking to retain a place in the RFU Women’s Premiership (2pm KO).

Meanwhile, the undefeated second XV – who have secured a promotion play-off spot - face Reading (2.30pm KO).

Come and watch the Ladies in action at the Portway on Sunday.

The first XV sealed an impressive 33-3 victory over DMP Sharks last weekend as Sasha Acheson, Katie Mason, Marlie Packer and Amy Wilson-Hardy (2) all crossed.

England international Amber Reed notched four penalties as Bristol romped to a comfortable win.

“We had a slow start with too many errors, but I was pleased with the second half performance,” said Head Coach Susie Appleby.

“I’m really excited about the last three games, pushing for third place in the Premiership. This was a huge team effort, despite nine international players being unavailable.”

The Second XV romped to an incredible 50-0 win away at Reading.

Pete Reakes’ side scored eight tries in a dominant display, as Becky Cox (3), Carmen Etheridge, Jen Lander, Emma Strickland, Jenny Fotheringham and Nat Lewis went over.
