Lawrence To Remain At Bristol Rugby
Hooker agrees terms ahead of new campaign
Bristol Rugby are pleased to confirm that Rhys Lawrence has agreed terms to stay at the Memorial Stadium ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.
The formidable hooker - who arrived from Llanelli Scarlets in the summer of 2011 – has made forty-two appearances for the Club, scoring eight tries.
“Rhys works tirelessly, is ambitious and slots well into the squad dynamic,” said Director of Rugby Andy Robinson. “He sets high standards for himself and is a consistent performer.
“I’ve been impressed with what I have seen of Rhys so far, and he will play his part for Bristol Rugby next season.”
A former Wales U20, Lawrence made his first team debut against Doncaster Knights on the opening day of the 2011/12 season.
“To stay at Bristol Rugby and continue my development as a player is exciting,” said the 25 year-old. “I’m enjoying my rugby here and it’s a fantastic experience to play at the Memorial Stadium.
“This is a passionate Club with a tight-knit group of players. There is a lot that we want to achieve over the next few years.”
