Eves commits future to Bristol Rugby
Homegrown centre extends stay at Club
Bristol Rugby are delighted to announce that Luke Eves will remain at the Memorial Stadium after agreeing a new deal with the Club.
The centre – who has started every RFU Championship game throughout the 2012/13 season – is an integral member of the first team.
A product of the Bristol Rugby Academy, Eves has made 94 appearances since a debut in 2005.
The 23 year-old is eighth in the Club’s all-time league try scoring charts, with twenty tries to his name.
“Luke personifies the values that we hold at Bristol Rugby,” said Director of Rugby Andy Robinson. “He’s a homegrown talent who, particularly this season, has stepped up and proved his quality to the team.
“To start and finish every single league game so far is outstanding, it’s a measure of his importance to the side and his application on and off the field.”
A former England U20s captain, the powerful midfielder is a product of Colston’s Collegiate School.
Eves added: “I’m really enjoying my rugby at Bristol, it’s the Club where I grew up. I’m so proud to represent my hometown and I’m excited about the future here.
“I’m thriving in this environment and I feel it has brought the best out of me. I feel as though I still have much to learn.
“Bristol are building a strong squad and moving in the right direction on and off the field. There is still plenty to play for this season, so I’m committed to helping the team reach our targets.”
