EPDG centre set for FIRA tournament

Lucas Slowik has been called up to the England U18s squad ahead of the FIRA tournament in France later this month.

The Bristol EPDG centre, who was originally called up for England U17s in March before being moved up an age-level, will face Portugal at Rumilly on Friday, 22 March, before two further fixtures which are to be confirmed.

Slowik recently received the BRIS Trust’s Carol Humphreys Memorial Fund grant of £1,000 to aid his personal development at SGS Filton College.

“Everybody at Bristol Rugby is delighted for Lucas,” said Academy Manager Mike Hall. “He continues to impress and is showing improvement every time he plays.

“This call up is a testament to his hard work and we’re very excited to see how he progresses over the next twelve to eighteen months. We wish him the best of luck in the FIRA tournament.”
