Bristol make first RFU Championship trip to St Peter

Bristol Rugby visit St Peter on Saturday as the Club make their first ever trip to Jersey in the RFU Championship (3pm KO).

Ben Harvey’s men, whose rise from National One last year sealed a fourth promotion in five seasons, find themselves one place off the foot of the table.

Jersey have an impressive record at St Peter - before last weekend's defeat to Nottingham, the Channel Islanders were undefeated at home since September.

Michael Le Bourgeois is in prolific form this season, the fly half has notched 127 points, placing him ninth in the leading point scorers in the RFU Championship.

Bristol Academy and Colston’s School product Ashley Maggs is a regular in the Jersey midfield while Ed Tellwright, who joined from Rotherham Titans in the summer, studied at Marlwood School and represented Bristol Schools.

Following Saturday’s game, Jersey face Newcastle (March 29), Doncaster (April 13) before a trip to Cornish Pirates (April 20).
