Scrum half scores as England romp to victory

Callum Braley touched down for England U20s on Friday, as Rob Hunter’s side saw off Italy 52-7 in front of nearly 8,000 fans at Northampton Saints’ Franklins Gardens.

The hugely talented Academy scrum half went over in the second half on his first U20 start, as England scored seven tries in the RBS Six Nations clash.

Sam Hill, Tom Stephenson, Jack Nowell (2) and two penalty tries secured the win, while Henry Slade added 17 points with the boot.

“It may sound churlish to say that we’re unhappy after putting fifty-two points on the board but the reality is that we know we can play better,” said Head Coach Hunter.

“Italy were big and they were physical, and to be fair, on a slippery surface they forced us into making mistakes.

“Next week is a big game, and we’ll certainly be working very hard over the next few days to make sure we deliver a strong performance against Wales.”
