Bristol Ladies Quartet Earn England Call-Up

Four players included in matchday squad


Four members of the Bristol Ladies squad have been named in the England matchday squad ahead of the Six Nations opener with Scotland on Saturday (2pm KO).

Kate Newton, Kay Wilson, Amber Reed are all included in the starting line-up at Esher RFC, while Sally Tuson earns a place on the replacements bench.

England Head Coach Gary Street said: “This year’s Six Nations is an exciting challenge for me and Graham Smith. Training has gone well with several new faces in the squad; we are looking fresh and the team are really up for this.

“Many of our players may only have a handful of caps between them but the likes of Amber Reed, Hannah Gallagher and Ceri Large have all played France and the world champions New Zealand, and have beaten them.”
