Centre ready for Billesley Common test

Ben Mosses insists Bristol must end their barren run against Moseley at Billesley Common on Saturday (3pm KO).

Bristol have never won at the West Midlands ground in the RFU Championship, suffering two defeats and a draw.

But Mosses – who impressed in midfield during the victory over Leeds Carnegie – admits the squad won’t pay any attention to that record.

“We’ve got to go there full of confidence really,” said the on-loan centre. “After the win over Leeds, we’ve put ourselves right back in contention, so we can’t afford to let that slip this weekend.

“It’s a tight-knit squad and we’re all pulling together with the same ambition: to get a good run of form together and maintain a push for a top four place.

“Nobody is thinking about the fact that we haven’t won there, it’s in the past and we can only focus on Saturday’s game.

“They beat us earlier in the season and to lose at the death in front of our home supporters was a really tough pill to swallow.

“We want to go to Billesley Common on Saturday and hopefully put in a good display for our travelling fans and try to get another win under our belts.

“It certainly won’t be easy. Moseley are a very tough side as we found out last time. But we showed against Leeds we can grind out a result, and we are full of confidence.”
