Short: I Can't Wait To Get Started

Centre excited to run out at the Memorial Stadium

30th January 2013 published by Tom Tainton

Andy Short admits he was impressed with the ‘Premiership set-up’ of Bristol Rugby after signing for the Club ahead of the 2013/14 season.

And the former Worcester Warriors centre says he is relishing the challenge of playing at the Memorial Stadium.

“I’m really pleased to be joining the Club,” said Short. “I want to play regular rugby, so when I was approached by Bristol, it was the right move for me.

“Bristol Rugby have a fantastic reputation and I’m looking forward to the challenge of helping the Club achieve their goal of being in the Aviva Premiership.

“I haven’t played at the Mem before, but I’ve heard that the supporters are excellent so I’m excited to play there.

“Bristol have Premiership quality facilities and a really ambitious mindset. I was impressed by Liam [Middleton] and his plans for the future.

“The RFU Championship has changed over the years – it’s a tough, physical league. Playing at Cornish Pirates gave me plenty of valuable experience, and I played in the league with Worcester too, so I’m familiar with it.”
