Booy Named in England 2015 Legacy Team
Chairman to oversee legacy plan in South England
Bristol Rugby Chairman Chris Booy has been named as one of the RFU’s six Chairs of the 2015 Rugby World Cup Regional Activation And Legacy Group.
Booy – who has been Club Chairman for three years – will work closely with the England Rugby 2015 team to oversee the development of the legacy plan in Cornwall, Somerset, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
The RFU’s seven participation legacy strands are: better facilities, investing in people, more schools, returning players, touch rugby, other nations and cultural engagement.
Booy recently became a Director of Bristol Sport, the umbrella organization looking after the financial and commercial affairs of Bristol Rugby and Bristol City FC.
