Bristol make six changes for trip to Belfast

Liam Middleton rings the changes as Bristol prepare for a crucial B&I Cup clash against Ulster Ravens at Deramore Park on Friday (7.30pm KO).

A single point separates the sides in Pool One, with the victors this weekend all but securing a spot in the knockout stages.

The Head Coach brings in six new faces from the side that went down 32-17 to Cornish Pirates in Round 13 of the RFU Championship.

Mike Tagicakibau recovers from injury to start at outside-centre in a new-look midfield partnership with Luke Eves. George Watkins and James Grindal also come in to the backline, while David McIlwaine lines up against his former club.

In the pack, Academy duo Ben Glynn and Marco Mama are included, while James Merriman earns a start for the first time since November.

Middleton opts for a five forwards and two backs split on the bench, with Redford Pennycook and Ruki Tipuna among the replacements.
