Bristol Ladies' Amber Reed impresses on debut
Bristol Ladies’ Amber Reed starred on her international debut as England Women kicked off the Autumn series with a 23-13 victory over France at Esher.
Tries from Ruth Laybourn, debutant Joanne Watmore and Fiona Davidson helped England to the win, while Reed kicked two penalties and a conversion in an impressive performance.
Reed was one of a trio of Bristol representatives in the England ranks, with Kate Newton starting in the front row and Isobelle Noel-Smith named among the replacements.
Focus now switches to world champions New Zealand and the three match series which kicks off in Esher on Friday, 23 November.
