Johnston: We Can Build On Last Season
Hooker relishing the start of the 2012/13 campaign

Ross Johnston admits he is counting down the days until the start of the 2012/13 RFU Championship season.
Gearing up for his fourth season with Bristol Rugby, the hooker believes the Club are stronger than ever.
“We’re in a healthy position on and off the field,” Johnston expained. “As a player, it’s great to be able to just focus on training and looking ahead to the new campaign.
“We’ve always been a tight-knit squad and this season is no different. There are a lot of quality players here and we’re confident we can build on what we started last season.
Bristol kick off with a titanic clash against newly relegated Newcastle Falcons on Sunday, September 2 – a clash that the 26 year-old is relishing.
He said: “It’s an exciting way to start the season, testing ourselves against quality opposition.
“Hopefully we’ll have a big crowd at the Memorial Stadium to welcome the players back after the summer break.
“It’s a cliché, but every team in the RFU Championship are competitive, so we need to be ready for another huge challenge next year.”
