Scotland U20 End JWC Campaign On A High

Flanker helps Scotland U20 to 62-28 victory over Samoa U20

25th June 2012 published by Tom Tainton

Mitch Eadie’s Scotland U20s side ended their IRB Junior World Championship campaign on a high with a 62-28 victory over Samoa in the ninth place play-off.

The Bristol flanker – one of the standout performers for Scotland during the tournament – helped his side to a thumping nine-try victory.

The Scots scored tries through Finn Russell, prop Robin Hislop, winger Tom Steven, centre Tommy Allan (2), lock Andrew Redmayne, captain Harry Leonard and winger Jamie Farndale (2).

Eadie commented: “It’s great to finish the tournament in ninth place, one place above last year so we are making progress.

“Credit to Samoa, they came back late in the first half so we had to turn the screw and our finishing was clinical.”
