Mitch Eadie will depart for South Africa today as the flanker prepares for the Junior World Championship in South Africa.
A regular in the Scotland U20s set-up, Eadie and his teammates will come up against some of the best young players in World rugby.
Scotland face a gruelling Pool C – drawing last year’s semi-finalists France and Australia, as well as Argentina. Only the winner of the group is guaranteed a place in the semi-finals.
Peter Wright’s team will be based in Cape Town and Eadie is relishing the challenge ahead.
“We’re really excited about the Junior World Championship,” he explained. “We know all about France from the Six Nations and we’ll take a lot of confidence from winning our last game against Italy in that competition.
“It will be an incredible experience to visit South Africa and there’s a big focus on ensuring we get our performances right over there.”
Scotland U20s schedule:
Monday 4 June – v Australia, kick-off 2.30pm (local) at University of Western Cape, Cape Town.
