Ladies Help England Retain European Crown
Bristol Ladies help England to Sevens and European titles

Members of Bristol Ladies have represented England at Sevens and full international level this month.
Kay Wilson played a key role in helping England to the IRB Challenge Cup Sevens at Twickenham, before picking up an injury in the final. Bristol’s Katie Mason was called up ahead of the coveted Amsterdam Sevens last weekend.
Meanwhile, in the FIRA/AER European Cup, England Women retained their title in stunning fashion in Rovereto, Italy.
England opened their campaign with an eleven try, 61-0 victory over Spain with Bristol trio Sally Tuson, Marlie Packer and Kim Oliver all crossing.
Graham Smith’s side followed that result with a six-try victory over a determined Italian outfit.
Sally Tuson notched a brace of tries on her second outing in an England jersey, while Bristol’s Kate Newton and Kim Oliver also featured.
The Ladies added the European Cup crown to the Six Nations Grand Slam title with a thrilling 29-25 win over France on Saturday.
Sally Tuson’s late try and Lydia Thompson’s last-gasp effort sealed a memorable result for England.
