Bristol Rugby Announce Retained List

28 members of existing squad will stay at the Memorial Stadium

Bristol Rugby have retained the core of the first-team as Liam Middleton and his side bid for a place in the top four of the RFU Championship next season.

Twenty-eight members of the existing squad will remain at the Memorial Stadium ahead of the new campaign.

Mark Lilley (Bath), Glen Townson (Newcastle) and Matthew Jones (Newport-Gwent Dragons) all agree deals to stay with the Club, while Redford Pennycook and Luke Eves also put pen to paper.

Callum Braley (Hartpury), Joe Joyce (Filton) and Steve Uren (Filton) sign professional Academy contracts.

Bristol have confirmed five new signings so far. James Grindal (Leicester Tigers), Bryan Rennie (Exeter Chiefs), Bruce Douglas (Worcester Warriors), David McIlwaine (Doncaster Knights) and Adrian Jarvis (London Irish) will join up with the squad for pre-season training.

Fourteen members of the 2011/12 squad will be leaving Bristol Rugby. These include No. 8 Dan Montagu, prop Mark Irish and Academy duo Darren Barry and Mark Davies.
