Avonmouth – coached by Bristol duo Mark Irish and Sean Marsden - overcame Dings in the semi-finals, while Thornbury – who include Bristol favourites Rob Higgitt and Gareth Llewellyn among their ranks - pulled off the biggest shock in cup history when they beat Clifton 8-3 at Cribbs Causeway to progress to the final.
