Bristol score three tries but suffer defeat at Mennaye Field

Will Helu scored a brace as Bristol raced into an early lead against Cornish Pirates in the RFU Championship semi-final first leg on Monday.

The Tongan collected Fautua Otto's offload to touch down, before rounding off a slick move in the second half.

James Merriman opened the scoring for the visitors when he capitalised on a lineout overthrow, but it wasn't enough to prevent defeat at Mennaye Field.
