Brizzley Bear made a special trip to Redland Girl’s School last week to visit young pupils as part of a project all about bears.

The Bristol Rugby mascot met the girls, aged three and four, and their bear companions. As part of the project, the girls will make beds and chairs for their own teddies, as well as creating bear collages.

The lower foundation class also have their own pet bear, called Gulliver, who, in recent years, has travelled to the Isles of Scilly and Florida.

Media Officer Tom Tainton said: “It’s great to see Brizzley visiting local schools and supporting the community. He’s a popular mascot with child and adult supporters and always keeps the Memorial Stadium crowd entertained.

“Brizzley thoroughly enjoyed meeting the pupils at Redland Girl’s School and their bears. We hope he inspired the pupils in their bear projects.”
