Harris-Wright: I Want To Be Back Before Play-Offs
Hooker targets return before the end of the regular campaign
Jason Harris-Wright has targeted a return to action before the end of the regular season.
The hooker, who joined the Club in November last year, has found first-team opportunities limited after being sidelined with a long-term injury.
Harris-Wright made an encouraging start to his Bristol career, before suffering a torn bicep against Leeds Carnegie at the Memorial Stadium.
The 23 year-old returned to training in the build-up to Rotherham, but twisted his knee and could miss another five weeks.
“It’s really frustrating,” he said. “I was settling into the squad and starting to integrate into the team environment.
“I was pleased with how I was performing, but then to get injured against Leeds, my first start for the Club, was disappointing.
“I put a lot of hard work in at the gym to get back to fitness and then to take another knock in my first session back is a bitter pill to swallow.”
Harris Wright, who has made three appearances for Bristol this campaign, says he is determined to be back in time for the crucial end-of-season play-offs.
He added: “I’m desperate to get back into the thick of it and, if I continue making progress, I’m hoping I could be fit for the last game of the campaign.
“I’m having a fantastic time with Bristol – it’s a really positive team environment to be a part of.
“I hope that I can still play a role this season. There is a long way to go yet so I need to keep working hard to ensure that I’m fit and fully prepared when called upon.”
