Bristol Rugby Set For Hospital Visit
Squad will visit young patients at Frenchay Hospital on Monday
Bristol Rugby’s players and management will take time out from their preparations for next weekend’s crucial RFU Championship clash against Doncaster to visit children at Frenchay Hospital on Monday.
The players will bring some early Christmas cheer to young patients, singing carols and posing for pictures.
The Barbara Russell Children’s Unit at Frenchay treats around six-hundred children with burn injuries every year, as well as providing support and education to burn-injured children, their families and professionals.
Bristol captain Iain Grieve commented: “The staff at Frenchay Hospital do a superb job and it will be humbling to meet the nurses and children.
“The squad realize that we are in a privileged position, so it’s important to give up some of our spare time to help cheer up the young patients.”
