B&I Cup Team News: Ayr Vs Bristol Rugby
Bristol travel north of the border for the Club's final B&I Cup fixture
Liam Middleton will take an experienced side to Millbrae, as Bristol Rugby round off their B&I Cup campaign against Ayr on Saturday (2.30pm KO).
The Head Coach has yet to enjoy a victory in the competition, having suffered defeats to Cornish Pirates, Moseley and Neath this season.
But Bristol are on the back of a four-match winning streak and will be looking to continue their rich vein of form north of the border.
There are six survivors from the team that started in last weekend’s win over Plymouth Albion, with Jon Goodridge, Fautua Otto and William Helu all named in the backline.
Dan Montagu continues at no.8 as Wayne Thompson and captain Ross Johnston retain their places in the front row.
Matt Williams and Mark Davies return to the starting line-up, while Matt Keyte and James Letherby are also included.
Loan-signing Glen Townson is set for his full debut alongside Darren Barry. In the back-row, Josh Ovens returns to Bristol colours after a two-game absence.
On the replacements bench, Middleton reverts to a four forwards and three backs split with Jack Gadd included in the 22-man squad for the first time this season.
